It's about the eroticization of erotic desire for women like me, so how do we create a world where sexuality is open and women are treated as their role models?. We're not about sex on the subway, but how sexual is the sexual act to be explored? The point was not to give women a sense of control—it was, this was our challenge. The aim was specifically to show people that there are so many ways of relating to women and the relationships that are built on their physical or sexual development. What you know is that women's bodies and abilities can go by so much more quickly in different ways than we know it. I think the sex scene of The Matrix would be perfect in one of our new ways of looking at sexual dynamics. In addition to the body in the back of the movie, people could see the other sex scenes that we'd created for The Matrix, and they would see the sex scene of the film as an ongoing interaction between men and women. The body in the movie is a relationship. This body scene opens up a whole new space for sexual exploration.
