But when white pornstars are not making a difference as advocates speak out to call for more black porn stars, it is time to face up to the reality of what pornography can bring us – and what is worse, the effects black porn can have on society. What we need to do is stop pretending that black porn stars don't provide the goods white porn stars provide. In my book, Black Pornography and Black Skin: White Culture is the Problem with White Racism, we are told that black porn stars create the 'problem' that black pornstars do not. The problem is of course Black porn stars cause problems for society in which black porn stars are often the scapegoat. We are told that black porn stars cause problems because they allow White adults to perpetuate the 'problem,' and that those who perpetuate that 'problem' are the most violent racists. As such, it is often white parents who are the most guilty in the media narrative about black porn actresses perpetuating the problem, when in fact, this is not the case any longer.
