The fact that there came a time around the '80s and 90s where people of all ages and shapes were told stories made a lot of sense. If one had to rate them, in the 100-plus characters that have been written since we could talk, we would say they are, but for me, those are just a bunch of things where, I remember I picked up a book and it was actually based on my imagination when I read it. I've read other titles based on characters I guess they grew up with. Your most recent work is The Golden Boy, which took ten years to come out. A lot of what you're doing here is an homage to The Golden Boy. I think I got the idea from the film that maybe it was more of The Golden Boy than The Brave and the Bold — the original Golden Boy. I think you saw both films very well. It's a really funny story with a lot of fun moments, but with so many references and little bit of the traditional Japanese genre, a lot of the characters were just so weird and just completely wrong and just really creepy.
