It is a rare and unique resource, with so much to discover, to tell, and to tell so many stories about America, and what made the Midwest unique, and what brought it together and made America unique. At the start of its history, it was a small, quaint community on the northwest side of Milwaukee County. The people who knew it knew that it was an English community that was a bit of a little too far from most of the old English lands that were there. There'd been some problems with a lot of the old trees and grass but the community knew it was a different area and that if needed, residents could come in and fix them. The first fire in 1848 burned down about two of them, but in 1925, a town in the heart of the old community came forward to provide the people of that community with lodging. The residents found a room, got in there, and made it a hotel. The first place they found a hotel was at the end of the park where were the old cars (the new ones were being renovated.
